The mining and mineral industries sector exported more than 672.9 million dollars of goods to Afghanistan in the 9-month period of this year (ending to December), of which more than 230.1 million dollars were related to the steel chain and related steel products.

According to Tijarat News, and based on customs statistics; A variety of pottery products, bricks, ceramics and tiles, cement chain, downstream products and steel parts along with copper and downstream products are part of the exported items.

In addition to this, mining and mineral industry goods, aluminum chain and zinc chain products, iron ore, all kinds of stones, coal and coke along with lead chain are considered as other export goods of this sector.

According to the relevant statistical table, more than 875.9 thousand tons of pottery, brick, ceramic and tile products worth more than 142 million and 453 thousand dollars were exported to Afghanistan in the 9 months of this year.

In addition to this, during the period of this report, the cement chain had exported more than 3 million 313.3 thousand tons with an additional value of 116 million 521 thousand tons to this eastern neighbor of the country.

Also, downstream products and steel parts were directed to Afghanistan’s export market in addition to 38,572 tons at a price of 65,829,000 dollars.

According to the aforementioned table, the export of copper and downstream products was 3,681 tons worth 31,760,000 dollars.

Other items of mining and mineral industries were also exported in the 9 months of this year weighing 399.6 thousand tons for 30 million and 554 thousand dollars.

According to the mentioned tables, aluminum chains and products weighing 515.4 thousand tons were exported to Afghanistan at a price of 19 million and 114 thousand dollars.

Also, zinc chain, iron ore and all kinds of stones were exported with a total value of 29 million and 741 thousand dollars, the largest share of which was related to zinc chain with a value of 17 million and 120 thousand.

In addition, in the fields of coal and coke, lead chain and precious metals and stones (gold, silver, etc.), a total of more than 6 million and 454 thousand dollars were exported to Afghanistan, the share of coal and coke weighing more than 15 thousand tons. It was worth five million and 811 thousand dollars.

According to the statistics of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, Afghanistan was the sixth destination of Iran’s export goods worth 1 billion and 199 million dollars in the 6 months of 2016, which accounted for 5.8% of the total exports and compared to the first 6 months of 2015. recorded a growth of 2 percent.

According to the statistics of the Development and Trade Organization of South Khorasan province, rice, roasted hemp, sugar, camels and bitumen processing and packaging equipment were among the major items imported from Afghanistan to this province in the first 6 months of this year.

Activating the common border crossings in order to use the production capacities of the two countries and expanding productive jobs on both sides of the border and establishing retail supply centers for the permitted items of the two sides in the direct supply stores of Bazarchei, including the proposals of the Organization of Industry, Mining and Trade to increase trade exchanges between Iran and It is Afghanistan.

The establishment of an Iranian consulate in Farah province of Afghanistan and an Afghan consulate in Birjand, facilitating the issuance of visas and the use of extra-territorial cultivation capacity in Afghanistan were among the other proposals that were emphasized in this meeting.
